With the Sony Alpha 7C II and the Sony Alpha 7C R, Sony complements its full-frame portfolio of the compact 7C series. Both new DSLMs feature a rear-exposed Exmor R CMOS full-frame sensor, Sony&s BIONZ XR image processor and the same AI processing unit for the AF system as the Alpha 7R V, which is capable of recognising human poses and is thus supposed to yield even more accurate AF tracking.
In video recording, the Sony Alpha 7C II and Alpha 7C R sample from a 7K and 6K resolution respectively to a maximum of 4K. On the Sony Alpha 7C II, video recording at 4K 50/60p is only possible in Super 35 crop - on the Sony Alpha 7C R, a 1.2x crop is applied for 4K 50/60p recording. ;) Sony Alpha 7C II Thanks to S-Log3, Sony specifies an exposure latitude of 14+ stops for both cameras.
