Sony also introduces new APS-C lenses - although the latest, matching Sony camera is currently still on hold; an order stop was imposed for the small ZV-E10 system camera in December due to the component shortage, as well as for the A6600 and A6400. While orders for the A6400 will be accepted again shortly, the other cameras will remain unavailable. ;) Sony Alpha 6600 with the new E PZ 10-20 mm F4 G Nevertheless, Sony is thus expanding or renewing its range of E-mount lenses for an APS-C image circle - whether this means that a camera launch can also be expected in this division remains to be seen. The lenses in detail:
Sony E PZ 10-20 mm F4 G.The ultra-wide-angle zoom E PZ 10-20 mm F4 G is 20 percent lighter than its predecessor (SEL1018) with a total weight of 178 grams. The speed is constant at an F4. The optical design includes, among other things, three aspherical elements (to counteract field curvature and astigmatism) and two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, which are said to effectively reduce chromatic aberrations. ;) Sony E PZ 10-20 mm F4 G The minimum distance for automatic focus is 0.2 meters at maximum 0.14x magnification; the minimum distance for manual focus is 0.13 ~ 0.17 meters at maximum 0.18x magnification. Two linear motors for focus drive are said to ensure fast and quiet autofocus that can seamlessly track subjects when shooting movies at high frame rates, according to Sony. Focus breathing and field-of-view aberrations are said to be minimized. The zoom lens is equipped with a focus ring, zoom ring and zoom lever, as well as a configurable focus hold button and focus selector. When zooming, the lens& center of gravity is said to barely shift, making the optic suitable for gimbal use as well. Sony E 15 mm F1.4 GThe fast E 15 mm F1.4 G model offers a fixed focal length of 15mm (equivalent 35mm focal length: 22.5mm) and G lens-level resolution. Three aspherical elements in the optical design compensate for distortion, and an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element and a Super ED glass element improve chromatic aberration. ;) Again, two linear motors operate during autofocus; in manual mode, the focus responds linearly during adjustment. Focus breathing is said to be minimal. The minimum focusing distance is 0.17 meters. The aperture is optionally unclickable, and an aperture ring is present despite the small dimensions - the lens length is 69.5mm, the diameter 66.6mm. The weight is 219 grams. Sony E 11 mm F1.8The third in the bunch is the ultra-wide-angle prime E 11 mm F1.8 lens (equivalent 35mm focal length: 16.5mm), which also turns out to be compact and fast.
