A new, smaller Cinema camera is in the starting blocks at Sony, this much is already known for a long time, only details were in short supply. This is still the case, but not for much longer, because Sony will present the FX6 on November 17th in a live stream, starting at 16h (Central European Time) -- whoever wants to can join in on YouTube.

Sony FX6
The FX6 will form its own cinema series with the already available VENICE and the FX9 and will be the most compact camera of the trio. This much can be concluded from an official product illustration, which also shows that the FX6 will not have a viewfinder. However, we can only make guesses about the inner values of the camera -- for once, there are no current clues on the relevant rumor pages. In
an older rumor from the spring it was said among other things that it would have the same full format sensor as the larger FX9, which sounds quite plausible. The Specs circulated in addition, like for instance a 4K admission limited to 30p, could not be supported until today apparently more concretely...
So we're waiting for November 17th to find out what the new addition to the Sony Cinema series will offer filmers and at what price point.
