After the three new ;) Sound Devices 833
Many functions were taken over by Sound Devices around 9,000 euros expensive mobile 32 channel, 36 track professional mixer recorder  Scorpio, such as the new preamplifier design, the 2 SD card slots, the integrated dual L-mount battery charger and the internal 256 GB SSD. Both devices have dedicated faders and trim controls including PFL switches for audio channels 1-6 for direct manual control. ;) Sound Devices 833 Frontal In addition, the 833 shares the same audio processing architecture and multiple FPGAs with the Scorpio. Routing can be freely configured, i.e. any input can be routed to any track. The 833 has both digital and analog inputs and outputs, including three XLR and three TA3 analog inputs with 48V phantom power and a TA5 headphone jack.  Sound Devices 833 The USB-C port exists for the fast file transfer from the internal SSD or the two SD cards via USB 3.1 Gen 1 to the PC, the USB A port serves for the connection of e.g. a linear fader control or another control interface via MCU, a keyboard or the Sound Devics Remote App Wingman (iOS/Android) for control via app.  Sound Devices 833 An integrated three-band EQ can be set to either pre- or post-fade for each channel, and Dugan Automixing can be used to automatically attenuate unused microphones in multi-microphone applications. Up to 8 channels can be automated simultaneously, and two separate groups can be mixed simultaneously. For security reasons, Sound Devices 833 can record to three media (SSD plus two SD cards) simultaneously. The Sound Devices 833 costs around ,000 and is expected to be launched on the market from September 23.
