Netflix may have won the Streaming Wars, but that doesn&t mean you have to watch only pointless film remakes or equally uninspired, but cleverly targeted film and series content (this awful word unfortunately fits here) aimed at specific audience niches, when the more worthwhile titles are once again buried somewhere inaccessibly in the depths of the Netflix catalog. ![]() The exact counter-program has been offered for years by the small streaming service MUBI - there you will find the "best" of international cinema in a curated selection, from arthouse, documentary and independent films to current award winners, Hollywood classics and even MUBI&s own releases. Initially, there were exactly 30 hand-picked films in the program for 30 days each - one was added every day and one disappeared -, which was somehow charming and quirky, but also meant that there was often nothing to one&s taste (which is why our last subscription is already some time ago). Meanwhile, the film catalog now comprises several hundred titles.
The regular price of €13.99 per month for a subscription (with annual payment €8.99) is therefore certainly justified, but in addition to other, "more popular" film services, it is of course a lot for one&s budget again. As we happened to see today, however, you can currently secure 3 months for only €1 - the special offer runs until February 9, 2025. A great deal that we wanted to share with you briefly - but be careful, from the third month the normal price will be charged; you can cancel monthly. Currently, the MUBI program includes films such as Bong Joon Ho&s "Parasite", Wim Wenders& "Perfect Days", Almodovar&s "Volver", Kaurismäki&s "Fallen Leaves", and many, many more. ![]() From the current film selection Note: Please note the terms and conditions at MUBI, we assume no liability and earn nothing from this editorial note... ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: MUBI Sonderaktion für Cineasten - 3 Monate für 1 Euro |
