The AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE (super wide-angle zoom lens, released in spring[link]) is getting company – the new LK Samyang AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE extends the available focal length range into the short telephoto. This lens was also developed in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach.

LK Samyang AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE on Sony Alpha
Weighing approximately 494 g, it is as compact as its wide-angle sibling, and its light-gathering capability is also the same with a constant aperture of f/2.8.
As a standard zoom lens for mirrorless Sony full-frame E-mount cameras, the LK Samyang AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE is aimed at both photographers and videographers. Distortions are said to be minimal, and the autofocus is designed to work precisely. The minimum focusing distance is 18 cm.
The optical construction comprises 14 elements in 11 groups (more details on the specific lenses used are not yet known, as Samyang itself has not yet set up a product page). The aperture, like that of the 14-24mm, consists of 9 blades.
The zoom&s weather-sealed aluminum housing is IP5X-certified. Those already working with the super wide-angle zoom lens should note that despite many similarities, the same filters cannot be used. The filter thread on the new addition measures 72 mm, while the structurally wider 14-24mm accommodates 77mm diameter filters.
