The Chinese company TTARTISAN introduces its first cine lens for full-frame sensors with dual bokeh with the 35mm T2.1. The lens in a robust metal housing is equipped with a stepless aperture ring and has a focus travel of 313/131 degrees. The smooth damping should enable precise and sensitive focusing.

Not unique, but still rarely found is the dual bokeh switch on the lens: The shape of the bokeh highlights generated can be changed between "Soft" and "Bubble" via a rotating mechanism. In "Soft" mode, facial features should be elegantly emphasized and a dreamy image feeling should be created. The "Bubble" bokeh mode, on the other hand, tends to create round bokeh highlights with defined edges. It can be assumed that a kind of softer aperture edge "comes into play" in "Soft" mode. The following video already gives a first impression:
The TTARTISAN 35mm T2.1 can be adapted to various follow focus systems thanks to its gears. The focus scale is printed in both metric and feet. A filter thread of 82mm allows the easy use of screw-in filters.

The fully manual lens weighs between 669 and 735 grams, depending on the mount used (Sony E, Fuji X, Nikon Z, Canon RF, L-Mount) and comes with very spartan scope of delivery: There is nothing more than the lens, rear cap and front cap. But the price is not too excessive either: The TTARTISAN 35mm T2.1 should be available for 429 euros (RRP) in well-stocked cine and photo shops from mid-May at the latest.
