Teradek now allows owners of its Cube 705 and 755 encoders to purchase an NDI license to transmit video over IP. Using NDI, Cube 705 and 755 encoder owners can feed their video feeds directly to a network, eliminating the need for long runs of HDMI or SDI cable. NDI also integrates seamlessly with vMix, TriCaster and other switches. Cube owners can still use SRT for remote feed transport to a TriCaster and NDI for local ingest. ![]() Teradek Cube 705 Encoder The NDI license is valid for the NDI HX protocol, i.e. video is compressed via NDI|HX (H.264) with bit rates between 8 and 20 Mbit/s (1080i), transmitted either via WLAN or Gigabit Ethernet.
