Teradek has introduced the Serv 4K, a compact box that enables monitoring of a 4K HDR video output from a camera via HDMI/12G-SDI wirelessly on multiple devices (such as iPads/iPhones) on the local network with a latency of 2 frames. The Serv 4K is the successor of the ![]() Using Teradek&s Vuer app (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Apple TV), up to 20 devices can stream on a local network. In addition, via Teradek Core or platforms like Frame.io, an unlimited number of devices can send images to the cloud. Redundancy is also built in, so footage is stored on an SD card in case the internet connection drops. Footage is then uploaded further once the connection is restored. ![]() Teradek Serv 4K For local monitoring, up to four live camera feeds can be streamed to multiple devices on site simultaneously, even without an internet connection. Cloud-based streaming can be shared with an unlimited number of devices via macOS, iOS, Android or web browsers. Teradek Serv 4K supports 256-bit encryption, H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) compression at up to 45 Mbps, 10-bit 4:2:2 color, and DCI-P3 and PQ 2084 color spaces for consistent color accuracy. Interfaces include HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI inputs, a 12G-SDI output, a 3.5mm Mirko input, a 3.5mm headphone output, as well as a Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB-C ports. ![]() Teradek Serv 4K The system was designed with ease of use in mind, according to Teradek, and features a simple and intuitive setup interface.
