bildDOP Bradford Young expounds on his camera work in Denis Villeneuve&s highly praised ARRIVAL in this interesting interview (including many film excerpts). Bradford explains, among other things, his empathetic approach to being able to locate himself in the film. His considerations for choosing the right focal length and filming with a completely open f1.3:
