DJI has – for now only in China – introduced the new FlyCart 100 delivery drone, which can transport a full 80 kilograms of payload over distances of up to 6 kilometers. With two batteries, it can even reach a range of 12 kilometers, albeit with a reduced load of 65 kilograms. Its maximum take-off weight, including payload, is around 150 kilograms. This is a huge upgrade compared to the previous top model FlyCart 30 (www.dji.com/de/flycart-30), which could only transport a load of 30 kilograms. The FC100 targets practical applications in the areas of goods transport, emergency rescue, firefighting and maintenance of power lines.
![]() DJI FlyCart 100 Flight safetyWith such a large flight weight, special attention must of course be paid to flight safety, as the damage in the event of a collision or crash of a 150-kilogram drone would of course be enormous. The FlyCart FC100 has distance measurement via LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), which covers 300,000 measuring points per second, as well as a millimeter wave radar for flights in poor visibility and a five-lens fisheye vision system for real-time detection of terrain and obstacles. In addition, a parachute is intended to protect the drone from an uncontrolled crash at full speed. In China, DJI also offers free liability insurance with coverage of around 150,000 euros together with the FC100. ![]() DJI FlyCart 100 Using the O4 transmission system, the FC100 can be flown up to distances of 20 kilometers. In order to be able to take off even in adverse conditions, the FlyCart 100 is also protected against splash water and dust with an IP55 rating and can be operated at temperatures between -20° and 40°. As with the FlyCart 30, the FC100 is also supplied with two transport systems: a cargo and a winch model. The cargo model has a special compartment that enables easy loading and unloading. The winch model transports a load by winch with a downward-leading cable that can be controlled either manually or automatically. ![]() DJI FlyCart 100 with winch DJI RC Plus 2 remote controlThe FC100 cargo drone is controlled using the special DJI RC Plus 2 remote control with a 7" large, 1,400 Nits bright display, which also has a mode that allows control by two pilots at different locations. ![]() DJI RC Plus 2 Controller The price of the FlyCart 100 starts at 10,677 euros with a standard battery and ranges up to a 14,240 euro version with a high-performance charging station. One can be curious when the first video appears in which someone transports themselves through the air with the help of DJI&s new drone and documents it - the payload is now sufficient for this. How long the use as a transport drone will take is uncertain - the Federal Aviation Office still has a say here. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: DJI stellt Transport-Drohne FlyCart 100 mit 80 Kilo Nutzlast vor |
