Lenovo updates its ThinkPad Extreme X1 mobile workstation to the latest generation of Intel&s
Alder Lake CPUs of the 12th generation and Nvidia&s GPUs. Thus, the ThinkPad Extreme X1 Gen 5 can be equipped with a maximum of Intel Core i9 with 8 cores and an Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti with 16 GB VRAM (otherwise, RTX models like the 3050 Ti, 3060 and 3070 Ti are available).

And the memory also meets the requirements of a notebook workstation with a maximum of 64 GB DDR5 RAM and a fixed storage space of up to 8 TB in the form of two 4 TB M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSDs. On board are an integrated hybrid IR FullHD webcam, WiFi 6E (Gig+), Dolby Atmos, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports (of which charging power is available on one), an SD Express 7.0 4-in-1 card reader and an HDMI 2.1 port, a SIM slot for 5G data connections is optional.

The ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 5 will be available in June 2022 at a price starting at 2,749 euros.
