Tilta has upgraded its gravity one-handed gimbal systems to version 2. The Gravity G2 and G2X single-handed gimbal systems now have a maximum payload of 3.6 kg. The two different mounting brackets for the horizontal motor, which is installed in the Tilta G2X tilted at an angle of 45°, were retained in order to provide a better view of the rear display and clearer cable routing.
We find the setup with the Canon C200 especially exciting in the product shots - but in the gimbal and drone optimized C200B version without Viewfinder. As far as we know, the regular Canon C200 should also be rigged relatively easily for gimbal operation, so that even some heavy zoom optics such as the Canon 24-105 f4 can still be used. Whether the 3.6 kg maximum payload can also be found in practice is another question, but for a one-handed gimbal this is a remarkable payload. ![]() On batteries, the new Tilta Gravity Gimbals use 4 standard 18650 batteries, which are inserted in the handle. A battery charger is included with the Tilta Gravity Gimbals, but not the batteries themselves. ![]() Other features of the Tilta Gravity G2 and G2X Gimbal include: Undersling and over-sling operation. 360° rotation, 60° roll lef/right, 4 user modes, 5V MiniUSB Out to power Nucleus-Nano motors for remote follow focus, 14.8V DC input/output to power cameras, 2 Arri standard roses above the handle for various accessories and a Quick Release Standard Manfrotto base plate for quick change-over to Manfrotto tripods. ![]() In addition, the Tilta Assistant app should be able to calibrate, remotely control and use the gimbal for timelapse via Bluetooth. The new Tilta G2 Gimbals should be available immediately. The price for both systems is 730, - Dollar (without suitcase) - Euro prices are not yet known. Bild zur Newsmeldung:
