Tokina Vista Cinema 135mm T1.5 announced // IBC 2019

The Tokina Vista Cinema Prime series gets more amplification, at the teligen end -- also the 135mm focal length announced for January 2020 will offer a T1.5 speed and cover a large-format image circle up to 46.7mm. The focusing range of 300 degrees as well as the outer form factor with 114mm front diameter, aperture and focus rings remain the same.

At 2.99 kg, however, the telephoto lens is a little heavier than the 105mm; the optical design comprises 16 elements in 14 groups. The minimum focusing distance is 1.4m. In addition to the PL, Canon EF, MFT and Sony E-Mount options, Tokina also mentions the new Arri LPL as a possible bayonet. With the upcoming 135mm T1.5 the Tokina Vista Cinema series includes seven lenses -- already available are the focal lengths 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 105mm. A price has not yet been communicated.
