An extremely fast MFT lens will soon be released by Voigtländer, or rather Cosina. The 29mm / 1:0.8 Super Nokton is according to the manufacturer the first serial lens with a speed of F0.8 and was developed exclusively for the Micro-Four-Thirds-Standard.
The optical construction comprises 11 elements in 7 groups, including two aspherical lenses, one of which is made of a new type of high temperature glass. It is also treated with a special grinding process, which, together with a floating element, is intended to provide high-quality imaging performance with uniform sharpness right up to the edges.
The angle of view of the lens is 42.75° and is approximately the same as that of a 58mm full format lens. The aperture consists of 12 blades and can be declicked or continuously adjusted as with the other Voigtländer MFT lenses for video applications. The minimum focusing distance is 37cm, the dimensions of the lens 72.3 (diameter) × 88.9mm (length), the weight 703g. Filters with 62mm diameter can be attached.
The Voigtländer 29mm / 1:0.8 Super Nokton aspherical MFT is expected to be released in December and will cost 1799 Euro.
