BitJazz has announced the immediate availability of a new version of Sheer Video, a lossless (non-destructive) real-Cedec. Video in QuickTime 6 Sheer v1.2 can now Y'CbCr formats directly through the Sheer encoders. Sheer Video 1.2 video digitizing programs, such as BTV Pro or Hack TV can now digitize component video in real time directly in each army Y'CbCr format, inclusive 4:4:4 and 4:2:2, as well as in each Sheer RGB format. Due to digitization of the video in lean obese Sheer formats instead of the corresponding uncompressed formats, one slower, take advantage of cheaper disk while twice the quality of uncompressed video is digitized in the same space on the hard disk. With the current version of Sheer Video and QuickTime 6.4, programs can now run Sheer Y'CbCr[A] 4:4:4[: 4] even without hardware support for Y'CbCr[A] 4:4:4[: 4]. Sheer video is implemented in the form of QuickTime components, so it can be used with all common professional video applications, such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Pinnacle Commotion, among others. Sheer video is currently a commercial product for Mac OS X and Mac OS 8 | 9 available and as a beta product for PC + Windows. The PC + Linux editions are also available soon.
