Apple has released a product update for its 13-inch MacBook Pro. Among other things, the keyboard is at the centre of the innovations: Apple promises "the best typing experience on a Mac notebook" so far with the new Magic Keyboard. In addition, the storage space has been doubled in all standard configurations and new, fast 3733 MHz memory with 16 GB in selected configurations (maximum 32 GB can be used).

It features a redesigned scissor mechanism with a 1 mm key travel for a stable key feel. In addition to the Touch Bar (a touch display above the keyboard, which replaces the previous function keys and displays different shortcut icons depending on the program) and Touch ID (a fingerprint scanner for identifying or verifying users, e.g. for login, access to protected areas or online payments via Apple Pay), the Magic Keyboard also has a physical escape key. The 13-inch MacBook Pro features an aluminum unibody design (in Space Gray or silver) weighing 1.36 kg and features a 13-inch retina display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 500 nits brightness, and support for the DCI-P3 color space. On interfaces, 2 or 4 Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports are on board. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is available immediately for 1,499 Euro (but then only with the 8th-generation Intel i5 processor at 1.4 GHz) or at an even lower price for educational customers. In the maximum configuration (2.3 GHz i7 10th Gen/32 GB/4TB SSD) it costs around 4,379 euro. ![]() Apple 13" MacBook Pro ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Update für Apples 13" MacBook Pro: Neue Tastatur, neue CPUs, mehr Speicher |
