Following the JibONE v2, edelkrone is now updating its remote control solution Controller, which - as an alternative to the smartphone app - allows control of edelkrone motorized motion control systems including sliders, cranes, heads and dollies. A gesture control mode can also be used to pan, tilt, pendulum or glide by moving the edelkrone Controller v2 accordingly.

New to the Controller v2 is the option of a completely cable-based connection to the edelkrone motion devices. This offers advantages in environments with unstable wireless connections due to signal interference, and also allows more than one compatible device to be controlled with the controller. However, the separately available edelkrone Link Hub is additionally required for the wired (multi-) device connection. The wireless connection reaches devices at a maximum distance of 25m.
The v2 offers a larger screen compared to the previous generation. Furthermore, the battery life has been doubled - it is said to be at least 10 hours in continuous wireless operation (previously from 4.5) and at least 23 hours when connected by cable and paired with the edelkrone Link Hub. Used in the v2 are two AA batteries (previously AAA).
