Updates (24.2) for Premiere Pro and After Effects -

Adobe is now also releasing updates for its video applications on a monthly basis. Included in Premiere Pro is now in February is the AI-supported function "Improve Speech", which has been extensively tested in the beta version for some time. This makes it very easy to remove noise and other background noises using AI. This can significantly improve the quality of speech and dialog.

If you are on TikTok, you can now create posts and drafts directly in Premiere Pro, add subtitles, hashtags and keywords and then export the project directly to TikTok. The new multicolored fonts and emojis are intended to provide even more eye candy (not only in TikTok).

And to further speed up your work, it&s now easier to create proxies that are exactly half or a quarter of the original frame size, thanks to a new frame size selector and updated proxy presets.

And After Effects has also gained a few

new functions: OBJ 3D models can now be imported natively into a project and placed alongside other 2D and 3D layers in a composition. All 3D objects can interact with light and shadow by adjusting the "Cast Shadow" and "Receive Shadow" properties. By using OpenEXR image files, realistic and high-quality lighting can also be created in 3D scenes in a composition.

Furthermore, animation templates can now be exported with a video preview of the primary composition as a thumbnail for quick visualization in Premiere Pro.

There are also specific improvements to the Cycore plug-in effects. These include new controls and bug fixes.

Both February 2024 updates (24.2) are now available for free download to all users with an active Creative Cloud license.
