At FMX 2025 in Stuttgart, ZEISS presented its "Virtual Lens Technology" for the first time, which makes it possible to simulate the look of specific lenses with their physically correct characteristics in compositing. Within its CinCraft ecosystem, ZEISS aims to offer VFX artists a selection of virtual lenses. The goal is to precisely match computer-generated images from post-production to the look of the actual shoot.

Each virtual lens is created for each focal length and can be freely applied to a wide variety of camera formats. The "Virtual Lens Technology" is currently in a closed beta phase; a public release schedule has not yet been announced. Interested studios and artists can register on the ZEISS website to be informed about the upcoming open beta and product news. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: ZEISS entwickelt virtuelle Objektive für VFX |
