The professional VFX suite Sapphire has been updated to version 2024. Several new effects have been added, such as PixelMosh. This allows looks to be deliberately enhanced with "glitches", for example by dragging selected pixels from one frame sequence to another, thereby smearing images. Pulsating, bursting blobs of color can also be added or a kind of digital degeneration can be simulated with corrupt or frozen frames.
;){kind=tracking} PixelMosh The new Dust Effect is also intended to be very responsive and replicate the look of a simple particle simulation, but without the complexity. S_Dust is intended to give CG renderings a touch of photorealism or give motion graphics a cinematic look. Furthermore, according to BorisFX, every effect in the Sapphire Time category has been reworked for improved behavior and refined functions. A total of 30 effects are included that are relevant for time manipulation. In addition, there are 10 more lens flares and 65+ effect presets, including 18 builder presets. Sapphire 2024 by Boris FX can be used with Adobe CC video tools, Avid Media Composer, Autodesk Flame, Blackmagic Resolve, The Foundry Nuke or Vegas Pro.
