DJI has released the new firmware 01.00.0300 for the[DJI Mavic 4 Pro](www.slashcam.de/news/single/DJI-Mavic-4-Pro-ist-da-und-filmt-mit-neuem-360--Gi-19289.html) (here&s our[hands-on review - DJI Mavic 4 Pro: 10Bit 6K 50p Log, 360° Gimbal – who is the C2 drone for?](www.slashcam.de/artikel/Test/DJI-Mavic-4-Pro-in-der-Praxis--10Bit-6K-50p-Log--360--Gimbal---fuer-wen-lohnt-sich-die-C2-Drohne---alles-.html)). The update introduces three new features: simplified camera switching during active recording, the activation of Dynamic Home Point for RC2 remote controller users, and a restructured menu for vertical video formats.
![]() DJI Mavic 4 Pro Camera Switching During RecordingThe most significant new feature of the update and a practical simplification is the ability to switch between focal lengths (i.e., 1x, 2.5x, and 6x) during recording without having to interrupt it, as was previously required. When tapping a new focal length, the Mavic 4 Pro now automatically ends the current recording, switches to the selected new camera, and immediately restarts recording. This still results in separate files for the recording, but without the previous risk of forgetting to restart recording after changing the focal length. Compared to true stepless zoom systems, it remains a discrete switch between camera modules – useful for documentary or cinematic shoots where defined perspective jumps are desired. ![]() DJI RC2 Remote Controller Dynamic Home Point for RC2 ControllerThe new firmware now provides the DJI RC2 remote controller with a useful function that was previously reserved for the more expensive RC Pro 2. The Dynamic Home Point function allows the position of the remote controller to be dynamically adjusted during flight to determine the take-off and landing location. This is particularly useful for the RTH (Return To Home) function when the starting point is moving. Vertical Filming: New Menu for "Lossless" vs. "Cropped"The third new feature concerns the operating logic of the film settings in portrait mode. When switching to portrait mode, two recording options now appear: - **Lossless:** Utilizes the full sensor area in portrait format. Selectable resolutions are 1080p, 4K, and Cinema 4K at 24–60 fps. Limitation: The gimbal&s range of motion is limited to up and down movements to ensure image quality and full sensor area capture. - **Cropped:** The gimbal returns to its normal orientation with a full range of motion. The centrally cropped image is saved as a 4K video (fixed), also at 24–60 fps. The naming can be somewhat misleading, as "lossless" refers not to the recording format (i.e., the codec) but to the sensor area. ![]() DJI Mavic 4 Pro New Features for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro with Firmware 01.00.0300- Added support for switching camera focal lengths during video recording in Normal or Slow Motion mode. - Added support for the Dynamic Home Point function when used with the DJI RC 2 remote controller. - Added Lossless and Cropped vertical recording options for video recording in Portrait mode. Configure this in the Portrait Mode settings under Recording Parameters. - Fixed some known issues. Update & AvailabilityThe update requires updating both the drone and the controller via the DJI Fly app. For the Dynamic Home Point function, the RC2 controller must be running the latest firmware. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: DJI Mavic 4 Pro Update bringt Kamerawechsel während der Aufnahme und mehr |
