proDAD has released its video stabilization software Mercalli in V6. It is said to offer improved stabilization quality as well as faster calculation at the same time. Compared to the previous version, significantly fewer analysis runs are said to be required.

AI algorithms have obviously been introduced - according to proDAD, a new "Artifial Intelligence Application" (AiA for short) automatically adjusts all parameters to help achieve optimal stabilization and CMOS or rolling shutter correction. However, manual fine adjustments are still possible.
As it seems, there are again more detailed setting options in manual mode than before. A new application protocol with Undo/Redo has been added. The user interface as a whole has been redesigned for Mercalli V6.
The general image quality can now be improved by adjusting contrast, colors and saturation. Furthermore, a fish-eye correction should also be possible.
Mercalli V6 costs 299 Euro (standalone for Windows); an introductory price of 225 Euro is available until July 31, 2022.
