Vimeo Stock -- new service for royalty-free footage

Vimeo has been a portal for finished films to date. But from now on Vimeo also distributes stock footage material, for which a one-time license fee is due. After that the clips can be used several times in commercial contexts without further costs. The clips in HD resolution are offered for 59 Euro and up, 4K footage costs from 169 Euro per clip. If you have a non-free Vimeo account, you get a 20% discount on the stock prices. 70% of the incomes flow to the originator.

At present the offered clips originate from handpicked filmmakers, however in the future also further video producers are to be able to participate.
