Anyone who has previously worked as a drone pilot for film productions could soon be expanding their field of activity - at least if DJI has its way. DJI has just unveiled its first delivery drone, the Flycart 30. ;)
The FC30 has carbon fiber propellers with a coaxial 4-axis multiple rotor configuration with eight blades and is said to reach a maximum flight speed of 20 m/s. °VY=)Hhp11I-vGHA In the configuration with two batteries, it can carry a payload of 30 kg with a range of 16 km, according to DJI. In the emergency configuration with one battery, the payload capacity should increase to 40 kg - with a range of 8 km. The new DJI Flycart30 delivery drone supports different transportation modes. In cargo mode, according to DJI, payloads are stowed in a 70-liter case, which has weight and center of gravity sensors to improve balance and safety. ;) However, the most spectacular feature is probably the so-called "winch mode", which can also be seen in the linked video: In winch mode, payloads are to be transported with a winch crane (optional) to deliver them to locations without a suitable landing site. ;) The winch system has a 20m cable that can be pulled in manually or automatically at 0.8 m/s and, according to DJI, can carry 40 kg. AR Projection supports the placement of goods by indicating the projected landing point. In an emergency, the DJI Flycart has a parachute on board that can be used at low altitudes and is designed to land the drone (including its cargo) safely and stably. The DJI Flycart uses two suitcase-sized batteries with a capacity of 38,000 mA (1984.4 Wh) per battery to achieve the required range with a generous payload. One battery weighs 11.3 kg. The RC Plus is used as the controller on the FlyCart 30, with which we had already had very good experiences with our  DJI Inspire 3 test. In the standard package, the DJI Flycart 30 is expected to cost around 17,000 dollars.
