Insta360 is now also selling its Ace Pro 2 action camera in two new videography kits, which are intended to evoke a classic camera feeling during use. To make the small camera easier to hold, both kits include a larger housing, and there are up to 3 clip-on lenses to modify the image (though these do not appear to be fundamentally new).

Inst360 Ace Pro 2 Ultimate Videography Bundle
Videography Bundle Limited Edition
According to Insta360, the new Standard Videography Bundle includes a "Cinema Lens" that captures a classic 2.35:1 widescreen format with "unique lens flare effects" (horizontal flares). This sounds like the trendy anamorphic look, but it doesn&t seem to be a true anamorphic lens, as the image would then need to be de-squeezed after shooting. Instead, the image is likely simply cropped at the top and bottom during recording by a mask (clearly visible on the small optics). A special coating has probably been applied to provoke the reflection streaks.

Insta360 "Cinema Lens"
In addition to the lens and the housing, this kit also includes a Black Mist Filter.
Ultimate Videography Bundle
The "Ultimate" Videography Bundle includes two additional lenses: a macro lens with a 10-75 cm focus range for capturing close-up details, and an ultra-wide-angle lens that expands the Ace Pro 2&s normal field of view from 157° to 189°. The second filter included, besides the Black Mist, is a Starburst filter.
Xplorer Grip Pro
The small Xplorer Grip Pro camera cage is included in both bundles and features a 2010mAh battery built into the grip, which is supposed to extend the camera&s runtime to up to 5 hours and 40 minutes. There is also a shutter button and a control dial; the digital 2x zoom of the Ace 2 Pro can also be operated from the housing.
The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 Videography Bundle Limited Edition costs 649 Euros, and the Ultimate Bundle costs 839 Euros—about double (!) the price of the standard Ace Pro 2 without a bundle. All parts of these new bundles mentioned here are also available individually.
