Zhiyun, the Chinese gimbal specialist, has released an AI Tracker module for its smartphone gimbals SMOOTH 5S AI and CINEPEER CQ5. In conjunction with the new AI tracking module, the gimbals can track subjects by continuously adjusting to the subject&s movements to keep it automatically centered and in focus. The AI Tracker&s magnetic mount can be quickly rotated depending on whether the smartphone&s front or rear camera is used for recording. Users can access tracking functions via intuitive gesture control. The tracker allows users to start and stop recordings, define a frame, or control tracking with simple hand gestures via ZHIYUN&s ZY Cami app or directly through the smartphone camera. This facilitates solo video recordings where the user is in front of the camera and uses the gimbal as a robotic cameraman.
