The Chinese gimbal specialist Zhiyun has introduced the Crane M3, a new model of its one-handed gimbal series, which is specifically intended for vloggers. The innovations, such as an 800-lumen bright light integrated into the 3-axis gimbal and an integrated 6.5mm microphone port, are also aimed at them. ![]() Zhiyun Crane M3
The Zhiyun Crane M3 weighs around 700 grams including the battery, and Zhiyun says it is compatible with numerous smartphones, action cameras, compact cameras, and 90% of full-frame mirrorless cameras with certain lenses, such as various models from Sony&s Alpha series and the Sony RX100 variants, Canon&s EOS and Nikon&s Z models, Fuji&s XT cameras, and Panasonic&s GH4/5/5s, G100, and the Sigma fp. However, an extra accessory mount is required for use with smartphones and action cameras. Unfortunately, we could not find exact details about the maximum payload of the M3. Zhiyun&s new 3-second Quick Release System 4.0 is said to allow easier changing of cameras in use - the universal 2-in-1 Transmount Quick Release plate has extra access for quick battery changes without having to remove the camera from the gimbal. ![]() Zhiyun Crane M3 Quick Release 4.0 System. A 1.22" OLED touchscreen is integrated into the gimbal, which (as well as the small joystick next to it, the control buttons, and a large and a small dial) can be used to make adjustments and display status. ![]() Zhiyun Crane M3 Touchscreen.
