LumaFusion is one of the most popular apps for semi-professional video editing under iOS. At the NAB 2019 the developers of LumaTouch have now given an outlook on the next version LumaFusion 2.0, which offers some interesting new features. The support for external monitors, which enables a full-screen preview in native resolution on a large display, is particularly practical for some usage scenarios.
The user interface has been reworked with new icons and a new layout - also to make LumaFusion easy to use on smaller devices - and the preview has been enlarged and a new Timeline Navigator has been introduced to quickly navigate through projects.
The new version also brings more tracks: either 6 (previously 3) video/audio or graphic tracks will be possible including up to 6 additional stereo tracks or LumaFusion will be used as an audio editor with 12 pure stereo audio tracks. The tracks get track headers, symbols in front of the tracks with which each track can be individually muted, hidden, locked or unlocked or switched between overwrite and insert mode.

Colored markers can be created in source clips or in the Timeline. These can also be annotated. LumaFusion 2.0 also secures all media used so that they cannot be "away-optimized" by the operating system while working with them and are therefore missing in the project.
The features of the current version are already quite numerous and include 3 video/audio tracks, color correction options, fading effects, video effects such as Chroma Key, Picture-in-Picture, a slow/fast motion video function, a live audio mixer, a project manager, a media library for importing clips from different sources, a titler and export to various formats.
LumaFusion (the current version is 1.7.7) for iPhone and iPad costs about 22 Euro and is available in the AppStore, the version 2.0 with the new features will be released this spring.
