Infoseite // PC Picture on LCD TV: How to connect? (DVI, S-Video, TV-Out, ...)

Frage von Dragon:

Hello!

I would like on my PC stored media content (photos, videos, etc.) on my LCD TV to watch and the video signal from the PC to the television transfer. I thought to myself that in a modern PC and a current LCD-TV (both about 1.5 years old) can not be that hard. Was it but ... The search found about the contributions I was unfortunately not brought :-( So I hope you can help me. This just a brief summary on the current state, next below a few questions.

My Equipment:

PC:
- Asus Pundit-R Barebone
- Graphics card: ATI RADEON 9100 IGP onboard with the following outputs: VGA, DVI, TV-Out, S-Video (I know that this is not the greatest card, but I do not want me now to buy new)

TV:
- Philips LCD TV 32PF9966
- Inputs: SCART, DVI-I (with DVI-I VGA adapter synonymous as VGA input use), S-Video, CVBS

I already have a variety of connection options durchprobiert, but all the problems have made. Specifically, I have observed that:

- PC: DVI / TV: DVI (Resolution1.280 x 720): Picture blurred, s.unteren screen, approximately 15, s.rechten screen cut off about 40 pixels (picture adjustments on graphics card drivers or TV menu is not possible, probably due of digital transmission?)
- PC: VGA / TV with DVI-I DVI-VGA adapter: Picture blurred, only low resolution possible (640 x 480)
- PC: TV-Out / TV: CVBS: Picture extremely washy
- PC: S-Video / TV: S-Video: Have I not tried yet, because I had no suitable cable ...

Question 1: How do I get a clean and sharp PC-Picture on the Television?

Question 2: Are there ways to the video - and audio signal from the PC via wireless / WLAN or in a similar way to TV wirelessly to transfer (as a wireless router do I use the Fritz! Box 7170)?

I'm all tips for super-grateful! If you need more information about this (Resolutions, etc.), I would like to.

Gruß,
Oliver

You've essentially all relevant trials.

The TV-OUT and SVideo stories you can display on the large PC desktops forgotten. If you are so connected, then for example, of watching DVDs or TV. Here is synonymous rel. cheap radio or infrared transmission lines from the usual video section.

DVI should provide the best picture. It is my opinion, essential that the graphics card for the DVI output from the resolution (and frame rate) is set to the connected monitor (LCD TV here) s.besten can. In the manual of the LCD TV should drinstehen, hxw with how many pixels are used. With modern graphics cards can be the primary display (PC monitor) and secondary display (LCD-TV here) are separately configured.

With DVI, I do not know radio. If you want to work with WLAN, this would in my opinion mean that you have a 2nd Calculator in addition to the LCD TV need.

Good luck
The thick Stefan
