Infoseite // AVID on Laptop - Does it work well?

Hi Folks,

I would like to buy myself a laptop with Avid Media Composer to cut and I think hard on what to do.
Either Macbook Pro:
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
500GB Serial ATA drive (; 7200 rpm.)
SuperDrive 8x (; DVD ± R DL / DVD ± RW / CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 17-inch hi-resolution anti-glare widescreen display

or a comparable Windows laptop with Quadro FX2700 graphics card.

What do you think? can be cut easily with such systems?
