Could be because HDV is only supported s.Version 5.2. Since you download you'll have on the AVID-Page an update that should go after that.

As far as I know can handle 1080i so avid only 50 fields. So you need to set this setting in the capture. synonymous if you're with aufgeyeichnest 1080 p.
Otherwise probiers times with premiere pro 2.0 that can capture hd synonymous.
You should also uploading the latest update .. avid 5.5.3 I believe. so it works then
