Audio Dub is normally only interesting if you want to bring your computer without additional processing (eg the original soundtrack, a second commentary on tape and afterwards you can choose which track you want to hear.
If I understand you correctly you want to add, however, the music cut with the Pinnacle.
So forget s.besten Audio Dub, that I've tried about 7 years time. Put the XM2 back to 16-bit sound. Dubbing the tape to your PC with Firewire cut, the video with Pinnacle and add the music. Then you play the finished edited video back to the camera again. If you all with original sound will you stop playing another cut without the original music back on tape. The sound quality is much better and you can tune original and Music in the editing program to clean each other.
I hope I've understood you correctly, it could explain and understand. True, it is complex, can select if you want to create a DVD with several Tonwpuren you. But that probably goes with Pinnacle and not is another story ...
