Hi,
MiniDV tapes have all my PANASONIC GS140ES stored on PC via Firewire and transfer the recording to play s.MedienPC s.LCD TV.
The DV_RAWs I inveigled into various tools (Ulead Movie Factory, Windows capture, VirtualDub ...).
My problem:
The quality is not on the flat screen is great for fast movements streaks, often blurred scenes.
DVDs I quality with maximum encode in Movie Factory as looking out equally bad.
My astonishment:
When I use the camcorder directly analogous then apply the quality is OK.
How do you do that? How and in what format your convertiert for archiving in the future hard drive?

Future? h.264 in MKV container.
Before the material is, however, chased by a high-quality software deinterlacer and 50p to put before the rubbish ends up on the HTPC.
