Double Layer DVD to standard DVD players compatible?
Frage von pepono61: März 2011
Hi, I have a longer project (approx. 3 hours) and need 100 of DVDs. For a normal DVD I have to compress very much, so the quality suffers. For a press shop, the dressing is too small.
Alternative would be a double layer. But I do not know if this of the current DVD players can read.
Is it part of your experience?
Thanks

No problems

Had a similar project and it burned with Encore to DVD-R DL. DVD + R, I had not got in a hurry. Tested on three players and there were all playback problems. 'm Finally dodged two single layer DVDs. Whether minus-R discs are compatible, I do not know.
Greetings,
nahmo.

DL discs are for the mass market's been around 2004th Player that can read the DL, I think of the beginning - about 1995/96. Accordingly, a "cute" question ;-)
Edit: Sorry, if it did not work, it might actually be less s.den players.

So I take Verbatim DVD-R DL and can not complain ISO created and goes off ....
Antwort von rainermann:
Yes, Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden synonymous, which previously ran perfectly for all customers
Antwort von Alf_300:
Verbatim is currently - Mitsubishi Kagaju Media - does not sound precisely especially with noverbrannt Lg or Plexto burner in the past 12 months

From the reading capability viewpoint, it is not the same, whether you have pressed or burnt DL discs.
