Hi,
I have here a situation where I have a concert with three cameras had filmed.
Two of cameras near the stage filmed in SD and the third with the wide angle perspective in HDV.
Since the cameras are edited together in Edius, I get to see the looks just the third camera in a 720 x 576 50i Project blurred. I know this is made a kind of downscaling, but that should still work fine, right?
Unfortunately, when I enter all the cameras in a HDV timeline I seem to like the result better ...
But I want s.Ende a DVD, so I would do everything well in a 720x576 50i timeline ....
If someone could help me I would be very grateful ...

Hi,
which version of Edius do you use? Where does the HDV footage look bad? In the preview on the PC or the rendering result? The important thing is how the DVD looks and because it is still around the mastering. So burn best first a quick test and then on DVD on a TV or projector with judge.
Why do not you cut all the HD and only then make a DVD out of it? They would then have the film synonymous again in "pseudo-HD" there.
Actually, EDIUS very robust and the conversion of the various materials goes well.
Otherwise, perhaps synonymous again in the Canopus forum post. They even read the developer with.

you're right, the downscaling in Edius is not as crisp, otherwise'm thrilled of the program.
I cut some posts like this (raw HD -> SD output)
have made some attempt to not look blurred, unfortunately without success ...
expedient at the moment I am so I built the sharpening filter (with Ner setting of 10 to 20) put on the sequence.

I like very much synonymous Edius ... there is this blur it with Adobe Premiere synonymous ...
For my problem I have tried something different.
With an HDV timeline when I want to cleanly convert to SD, then I connect a camcorder with Firewire connection s.PC Project and the properties change in 720 * 576 50i
Then I get the camcorder in a very good picture that I capture dan ... After that it would back the Calculator ...
This is my experience, what really can only Edius with very simple firewire card ...
