Frage von JANP:

Hello

Final Cut Pro HD 4.5

I have a 4:3 video is imported and fitted with a widescreen filter. Now it is 2.35:1 (top and bottom black bars).
Now I want to export the video as Quicktime, so that
Later in Quicktime Player, only the 2.35:1 video is displayed,
WITHOUT the black bars. I mean, the Quicktime
player not in the 4:3 format - it opens in the widescreen format.
How do I export the video??

Antwort von Markus:

Hello Janpere (Jan?)

prune the video image when exporting, so the black bars disappear and be saved, only the actual image information as a Quicktime video.

An alternative approach would be to export the video in the first 4:3-format, then a 1:2,35 Start Project to import the 4:3 - video (so that the black bar outside the visible framing) and are to export it in 1:2,35-format. In this case you can take the original synonymous 4:3 - Video as a base and save you the intermediate step with the black bars.
