Infoseite // No sound in the recording of TV / VCR to PC

Frage von Doreen:

Hello,
I have the following problem, which has already cost me a lot of nerve:

I have a great TV picture and sound. Only in the recordings, there is no sound more - I have the recorded video is synonymous played in other programs with the same unaccented result.

The key figures of my PC: ASUS A8V Deluxe Board with Sound on board (as Realtek AC97) and TV card Pinnacle PCTV 110i.
I am working with InterVideo DVD Creator 2 (WinDVD) to record from TV or dubbing of VHS.
The VCR is with Scart to RCA (video s.TV card/2xSound connected via adapter to Klink s.Soundkarte).

Can someone help me?

Antwort von Stefan:

I can not answer safely, Pinnacle of Guests can not access to the product manual.

So probably not the audio recording source in WinDVD directed to the sound card. The Pinnacle card has indeed add your own sound part, of whom one TV or radio sound can sound. If is set, but a normal video signal is recorded, the recording is silent.

Where you set the sound card ... either in WinDVD, but I do not know the program well enough or in the Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Sounds and Multimedia> Audio -> Audio Recording> Preferred Device ... (and hope that WinDVD does that).

Good luck

Hello Stefan,

Many thanks for your effort.

I've already tried to set the sound card in WinDVD as soundgebendes device. If there synonymous offered multiple synonymous choices usLine in - but no sound.

In Control Panel, the sound card was already set.

If the TV card has a sound chip - how do I ran there: the card has only three inputs: control SVHS, Cable and something kabelähnliches, and an input for ne remote, but no sound input - otherwise if it were indeed synonymous easier.

Antwort von Stefan:

At the sound chip of the card again you can get bad. That's for TV and radio recordings. You'd have to carry a video signal through the tuner part of the map. This is not make with home funds.

Line-in is already switching times half the battle. Now you have to in the audio mixer to see if line-in is synonymous activated. This can be turned off. "Popular" is, for example, the automatic shutdown of Line-in, after listening of audio CDs with the CD drive ... The audio mixer can reach you on the taskbar-> speaker icon-> Properties.

Good luck

Hello Stefan,

Line-in audio mixer is running in active and for recording is selected Line-In. Unfortunately it is not.

What has struck me now: for the sound card gibts a Sound Effect Manager in Control Panel. Unteranderem can get there to see the connections on port identifier auto - s.line the boxes out, he has found, for line-in, he shows "no signal" even though the sound is heard so clearly.

Perhaps it helps to install new TV and sound card?

Good luck

Hello Doreen,

call again on the Windows volume control. Now click on Options> Properties> Recording. You can now choose which controllers (for which input signals) are to be displayed at all. Maybe you'll find something suitable?
