Infoseite // Problems with mpeg2 import into Final Cut Pro 5.0, audio track missing

Frage von Martino:

Hi,

I hope you can help me, I've been on the Net
sought but found no answer ...
my problem, I have MPEG 2 files into Final Cut Pro 5.0
imported, unfortunately missing the audio track how can totall
I get inside? Seems a general problem
with these mpeg2 files to be. Do I (and if how)
convert the files or is there a simpler
Solution.
A second problem, Tif files imported as a still
of links are raised, so that an entire
third on the left Page missing, but the viewer is
100 percent set synonymous and no scrollbars
available, so would actually function properly.
Is it perhaps s.dem tif format, and s.den levels (in tifbild)?

Thank you
Martino

The first question: Mpeg2 video files ( "Film.m2v") do not have integrated sound like DV - video as "Film.mov" or "Film.dv". It is not a container format as the last two mentioned, but the codec itself, the sound must be located elsewhere. He comes of one of the defendants here sometimes DVD cams, so he could in AC3 (synonymous cheeky DolbyDigital as described) are available. This format is not suitable for the cut and is of Final Cut Pro does not support. It should first be decoded (eg with> macac3dec).
The second question: I suspect that the Tiff gecroppt not really, but just do not fit the sequence size. The "100%" in the viewer is only the size of the preview display, the scale and position in relation to PAL (or whatever your project is) is indeed under the tab "movement" terminated. Lighter and quicker matches you with Picture Picture and wire "model (on the top right s.Viewer popup window) to. Put it just right, that's it.
Rare would be the possibility of an imported still image to scale or to move. Consequently, there are many more annoying when a deliberately very large Picture of Final Cut Pro and auto is not always beautiful on the video size will be cropped. When it comes to you is exactly the reverse, you should know before saving the image file is an exact Choice in PAL (oa) resolution cropping.

Hello Axel,

thank you for your tips and your detailed explanation about the versschiedenen video format, are the times macac3dec try the files and then re-assign. Now, I must first look at the search for the program going. I've now rausgefunden why Tifbild angschnitten was. I was in the channel settings of the Tifbildes are still a mask, which was not visible, but of Final Cut Pro, ie those recognized me and my picture has touched.

Thank you
