I would soon buy me a Canon EOS 550D and I've seen that can hold the camera only 4GB of data indicating that the major points in the memory card should be formatted Fat32 ..
Do you think that the camera might be a memory card to the NTFS format, even if not accepting exFAT? So I just might make videos a bit longer synonymous for ca.10min in Full HD, in my opinion, not much.

To record a speaker or for a live recording are the DSLRs FAT or not liable. The chip is hot, and then the bad picture. DSLRs are suitable for scenic work, synonymous for bildbetonte documentaries, but not for features with longer settings. Wrong camera for that.

Without knowing the Canon .... The camera is the formatgebende medium - you can not format your memory card to your taste and then somehow use. The file system of the camera sets clear in which direction the wind is blowing and you have to reformat your card and how it is formatted in the camera:)
