Take the FX1!
The 16:9 format just fits better to probably rectangular stage.
However, you should try to get into your system with the anterior third of the auditorium space.
From there, the middle and you have the perfect angle to the stage.

An additional (good) schonmal directional microphone is at least better than the built-in (Stereo-/Atmo-) Microphone for a camcorder.
The ME80 (or its power adapter) mW has an XLR connector, synonymous So you need an XLR jack adapter (balanced - unbalanced wired>). Synonymous to you whom you can etch itself.
Whether you need at your site is a MF lens can be, only you know. That depends on the size of the stage and the distance from the camera. I needed to shoot so far no Any additional theater.

Mach's dir but not so difficult.
