What recording quality? Full quality DV or MPEG (Pinnacle 9)
Frage von artisthh: März 2006
Hello dear colleagues,
again I have a little question s.euch ............:-)))
This time is about the software Pinnacle 9 Pros, now in recording mode, that is precisely where the images to disk camcorder dubbing, give three different stages or settings ......
1. Capturing in full DV quality 2. MPEG Recording 3. Recording at preview quality ........
So I would like to have the best possible picture quality on the burned DVD. The number three comes away with me.
In the book that the full DV quality is fine for recording on tape and DVD to MPEG is more should be available.
Full DV quality is more practical because it does not compress then what he does against MPEG. However, I have (the feeling I'm not sure) that MPEG is a little better.
What do you say?? or how would you recording??
My second question would be: In the book, the justification for the recording of MPEG stands that need less space than the full DV quality, but when I infect of the Firewire cable to my camcorder, there suddenly appears that MPEG can take a few minutes as the full DV quality?? Does anyone know this??
Antwort von Markus:
if you put the pictures of your MiniDV camcorder (You Post a MiniDV camcorder?) Want to capture on the same hard drive, you must choose DV quality.
MPEG-recording means interframe compression. This is done only after the video editing when the movie (until then DV-AVI) is spent on the various applications (such as MPEG2 for DVD-Video).

My question is, what quality of the recording is her better? when I use a camcorder with hard drive and then have HOST with mpeg or a camcorder with miniDV. I think that is just on what to get me. And one knows how long it takes in so ne hard drive camcorder nem? Because when I think I'm going skiing at minus degrees and then in the summer holidays, makes the hard disks from nothing?
Hope you can help me!

Mini-DV (DV-AVI format = record) is better, since much less compressed, which you already are s.Volumen of the recorded material.
