I would with an Avid Xpress Pro HD (v5.1.5) MXF files, rotated with a Panasonic AJ-HPX3000G (codec: DV50, 50i) to import. Is this even possible and if so, how could I import the material? at this attempt to import the following error: The import file is not a suported XDCAM MXF file.

Well, looks like as if this version of Avid with only Sony MXF files together. As you've written earlier, but, do you want to Panasonic - MXF files import. These are two pairs of shoes.
Since I do not work with Avid, and Panasonic did not synonymous, I can thee no more help after the connection between your camera and the AVID - version of google.

Hab P2 with Xpress 5.7.5 cut, which incidentally was the first version had integrated 720p50. everything ran smoothly.
