The Movie Maker only exports mW DV-AVI or WMV. For both you need no separate codec, if one with a Windows PC to do.

With the nachgeschobenen Info "Sony Handycam =" should be the question on camera, because "= handycam camcorder handy means. If it is not a DV camcorder? Then an exact time model designation is necessary.

In principle, come from a camcorder recordings (analog, DV, D8) as follows on the PC: FireWire FAQ">camcorder / recorder s.PC connect, capture and edit pictures.

A popular error is the first original recordings in a format hochkomprimiertes in order subsequently s.der post to despair. In the linked post is how it really goes. See then synonymous: Magix can not read AVI.
