Infoseite // DVD for Television: DivX or best video DVD?

Frage von mkrawietz:

Hi All,
I have with my TV card included some movies in mpeg2 format, which I would now like to burn to DVD.
Now I have to ask themselves: Should I just create a classical video DVD, that is, for each film on a DVD, but at maximum quality?
Or convert the mpeg files with DivX and burn then rohling saving two films to DVD?
If we believe DivX, it would have a burn several movies without any significant loss of quality on a DVD can be (as blank saves).
How about with the blank / quality ratio - DivX Yes or No?
Achso, and what is the maximum bit rate DivX would be a commercial DVD player for any other?
Thank you for your help!
