3 live DV cameras s.einen PC connect via firewire ... is this possible?

Hi,
I often filme events from three different camera angles. The subsequent loading of the images horribly steals a lot of time, synonymous are the drives of the cameras is a heavy burden.
My idea is now to the 3 DV cameras via firewire cable directly s.einen PC and the images live on the Festlplatte to play. Has anyone been in the direction of experience, or he can give me a tip.
Problems which I now see are:
- Is the data transfer rate of a firewire card with multiple inputs, or do I have for each camera with its own controller installed?
- Supports the calculator or the software (eg WinDV) three cards at all? You can start WinDV three times that I've already tried.
- How long can a firewire cable to it without the disruption to? 20m would be very useful.
- What need for computing power as a project of the calculator?

A long-running ... Schon mal in Forum compatriots? Since there are many answers! The problem is that there is no (I know) software, which simultaneously different FW devices can hold. (Theoretically, it would be possible.) I myself have with Datavideo repeaters and 10m cables (! / 20m does not) good experiences over 45 m done.

First thanks for the quick reply and the tip with the Datavideo repeaters. The problem of the cable length would thus be solved.
For me my problem was not the appropriate keywords in the subject and I've found is usually synonymous to the live-to-digital editing, or streaming live, that's not my concern. It seeks only the three signals simultaneously.

It will probably be sufficient, a card with 3 firewire ports to use. The project should be sure to be tested intensively by using a typical event in real time across three of camcorders will be recorded. I think the project is already difficult s.der limit of what one with 'consumer' equipment can do. Uii I have dug up a topic on which I still synonymous same have a few questions. Well soähnlig like Urproblem this thread mine is synonymous. I have 3 cameras (all data) and a MacBookPro as synonymous another PC shuttle bus. Now I would like s.dem evening where we are equal to film a live cut make so do not need anything but a picture recorded. I know this is something Ähnliges with Adobe CS3 with gecaputerten material already do. I hope you have understood my problem, but is it synonymous with Avid or Adobe possible?

Canopus has for many years with his capture card, a tool DV capture, DV takes 3x stream or in the presence of a Canopus card synonymous analog and 2x DV.
Runs with any good video-PC.

Do you have the software more information? I clicked on the Canopus Page unfortunately found nothing. (No wonder, if it is just a side dish).

If I correctly over the manual, it works only with an "alien" card, port two and three must be Canopus hardware (eg Storm) be. Or am I mistaken there?

via an analog solution, I already thought synonymous, there is indeed from the video surveillance quite good cards. Unfortunately, the calculator generated MPEGs but not good for a clean suitable post. ...

Which I have just sent a request synonymous, but perhaps someone knows what synonymous here. The complete package with software and calculator costs while "only" 2700 ¬, but rent is just cheaper.
