I just got my VCR via composite s.The TV & connected the video card can hold as wmv, but the highest level of quality here is "WMV (768 KB / s)" with a Resolutionvon 320 * 240 pixels.
Would love to but the video as DV-AVI, or at least start with 640 * 480, does it work?

... depends on what your TV card, or the associated AV-> DV encoder does. Apparently he does not even offer to you of the options you want. Digitized analog sources to s.besten with a dedicated Wandlerbox or a DV camcorder with anal in. More here:
