I have the following problem that robs myself every advice:
I uninstalled the old Avid, the new install. During installation, the message came that "dvbuffers.ax" can not be registered because it would be in the "Unauthorized storage area. I continued the installation. After I installed the Avid codecs, I have started the application. Immediately following error is what the beginning of the start of Avid buried after their confirmation:
"Error: Access violation s.0x7C34240D (tried to write to 0x00000000), program terminated."
So I do once synonymous with little hope of trying to "dvbuffers.ax register" themselves. My system said: "... unauthorized access to a storage area.." Together, it can indicate that on my system in general may be an error in the memory / address, perhaps starting of a drive. So I installed the drivers for my blessed of Avid Quadro Fx1300. Also I was not just satisfied that I am the owner of each file. I've synonymous installed new updates for my XP (SP2).
All this was obviously futile.
(824,141 hotfix ", which explained in a similar contribution to the cause of update, was with me before and is after installing the updates do not find it on my RAID 0.)
Maybe worth mentioning: Under "Services" is still set to Automatic, the service "Avid Startup folder. However, it does not start and can not be started synonymous. With the useless reasoning: "... could not be started. 1067th mistakes." But perhaps he is synonymous only a remnant of the previously installed version 5.0, Avid. Disable Him is futile.
Perhaps someone who's a similar phenomenon in connection with a virus known. Although the probability is very low in this system, since I almost exclusively to (partially cut) synonymous with premiere, except of 3ds Max and After Effects and there is no connection to the Network.
Even the swap file: It is located on a separate hard drive and is 4096 minimum and maximum size.
One possibility is, of course, still occupy a separate partition with the second operating system and placing it solely on Avid. But I would have no pleasant solution, it would be for one, when I think s.Workflow.
Other relevant system data:
P4 HT 3.4 Ghz, 2Gb Ram
If someone could help me here, I would be really grateful.
And remember: All other Programs are working properly. As for the question of the competence of the system position in terms of memory management in question ..

I thought the application would be required as part of the post, at least I am now registered. Excuse the abundance.

It's late. But I can sleep well, because it is solved:
When my colleague Avid was working properly, we have almost the same system configuration, and synonymous, the same updates. The only real difference was how tiny left is my HT ..
So I forced Windows to use only one CPU, and lo and behold, it works!
The Force is simple: The "open boot.ini" file in Notepad and write in the last line after a distance "/ onecpu. , Save reboot to a virtual CPU slower. But as with Avid HT anyway hardly begins, it does not propose significant. And with the time will take care of various updates and Drivers determines the matter.
I'm glad to be able to work again. I hope others join Ratlose s.diesen essay.
edit: After it was reduced to onecpu must be registered the "dvbuffers.ax" nor of hand in order to be able to capture. This is done as follows:
Start> Run> "regsvr32 dvbuffers.ax"

I have completely rebuilt my system recently, and have also this ominous "access violation" of Avid Xpress DV 5.2. Previously, it ran without problems, and I suspect that perhaps the Harwarekonfiguration it could be to blame.
Test with Memtest all were successful, and the Windows hotfix is not available synonymous with me.
old system: ASUS A7N8X-X Athlon XP 2400 +, 1GB RAM, Matrox G550 new system: ASUS P5WDH Deluxe, E6300, 2 GB RAM (MDT), Matrox Parhelia avpe
Maybe even someone a similar configuration, and thus, at least I can assure you that it runs so anyway.
Thanks in advance!

I still run to Avid then taken by me with / got off onecpu one processor.
There are generally no multiprocessor support, or is it just a bug in the version?
Avid Xpress HD V.5.2.4
Antwort von Boes:
Same here. Bought a second hand HP xw8200, installed avid, got s.acces violation error s.0x7c34240d. Took out one of the IntelXeon processors, and Avid is running. Avid is rather picky on hardware, and I thought I had a compatible machine. Back to Adobe distress.

Hi folks, I use just encountered the same problem and so quite and not at all happy, especially since Programs such as After Effects, Photoshop and synonymous my operating system, both processors. Furthermore, although the old Avid Xpress Pro flawlessly with two cores, synonymous only if it has used. It must give a solution but not the processor performance. That can not seriously be of Avid. Who can help or are there people with Avid Xpress Pro HD 5.2.4. running on a dual core system? Updates? Danke schon mal, TC1.
Antwort von Beatfabrikant:
For me and many other dual core owners avid with the already mentioned error zickt rum. Affected is probably the young generation dual core intel (Exxx). I think and hope that Avid rausbringt soon as a patch slowly accumulate these complaints.
