I bought Vegas Pro 8 to cut so that my videos from the 500d too.
I assume - logically - in at 1280x790 at 30 fps.
In Vegas I start a project with the same resolution and the 29, something fps.
After rendering, but I have a feeling that the sound is deferred.
Is it even possible to cut sound-picture-synchronously with Vegas?

If the FPS value in the raw material was not consistent with the FPS setting in the Timeline, then interpolated to Vegas, it's true.
Look (in the properties of your clips, in Vegas) and guck with framerate which they run. This is what you then adjust your timeline.
