Hello,
'm new here and bloody Beginners in film editing. Me are 2 formats available:
- TP0 files - included with Homecast receiver S8000 CIPVR transferred via USB to the PC and DVR-Studio Pro with MPG files created
- MPG files - recorded with WinTV Nexus-S s.PC
Load deluxe Will I now have a movie in Magix, says the program "The format of the file can not be read".
The program offers only films with the extension "mvd" at the shop.
Various posts in the forum but I can see that at least MPG files can be edited.
Does anybody advice??

Hello Horst,
mvd files are
(M AGIX eluxe
V ideo
D-) project files, not video files. Start a new Project once and import a MPG video file.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the quick help. Now it works. From the menu, I have not, unfortunately, can see that I only open a project in order to download movies. Magix would have the menu item "New film" might be better to call "New Project".
